Easy Gluten Free, Vegan, Homemade Pizza

When meat, dairy and gluten eaters ask for seconds, you know you have a good recipe.

Quick and easy pizza, with a slightly sweet pizza base, that surprises and delights.


For the base:

1 cup of gluten free self raising flour


Both Coles and Woolworths have gluten free flour.  ‘Has No’ is Aldi’s gluten & dairy free range.


Add to the flour, one tub of 175g of vanilla soy yoghurt.  Again both Coles and Woolworths have this ‘Soy Life’. brand.


Mix and knead the ingredients until the dough is smooth.


Grease and lightly flour a pizza oven tray.


You can use a rolling pin to roll the dough into a circular pizza base.  My rolling pin belonged to my Great Grandmother.  I love cooking with it as I think of the three generations of women that have come before me, who have lovingly prepared meals for their families.


Or like what I decided to do this time, use your hands to flatten the dough into a rough circle base, straight onto the pizza oven tray.


Add the topping to your heart’s content.

Tonight I added:
* Roasted tomatoe sauce for the pizza base
* Sliced tomatoes
* Olives
* Cooked spinach and garlic
* Roasted pumpkin and carrot (left over from last night’s dinner)
*Pine nuts


Place into a preheated 200 degree C oven for about 20 to 30 minutes (keep an eye on it).


Have it by itself or add a side salad.

The vanilla soy yoghurt in the base is a yummy twist on homemade pizza that your family will love.
