What Seeds to Plant for Autumn in Australia

image

Ready to harvest from July onwards, I’ve been in the garden planting seeds.

Broccoli, carrot, dill, chives, garlic, kale, lettuces, mustard greens, oregano, onion, parsley, peas, rocket, shallots and snow peas are just some of what can be planted now.

Tips**

1) Website Gardenate will advise what Australian climate zone you live in and can also send you seasonal planting email reminders i.e. what to plant when.

2) Ask at your local garden nursery if they have plastic seed planting trays to give away.  As many of them can’t be recycled and seed companies don’t want them back, nursery owners are looking to find ways to reuse them and hence happy to give them away.
